In the summer of 2013, I embarked on a journey to another planet otherwise known as Black Rock City. My sister Kim and her entire family are all veteran “Burners” and invited me to join them for a week of fun in the sun at the biggest festival gathering of people who live alternative lifestyles in the country. I had a great time while being exposed to a culture that defies the norms of our society.
